About us

Welcome to Chess.org, a platform born from our deep passion for chess and its universal accessibility. We believe chess is a game for everyone, transcending physical abilities and bringing people together.

Our Mission

Our objective was to create an intuitive online chess environment where players can engage effortlessly without the need for additional software installations. To achieve this, we embraced evolving technologies and trends during development, ensuring a seamless and modern user experience.

Meet the Team

  • Jan

    Jan (claymes) Administrator

Jan's enthusiasm for chess ignited in his early twenties. Approximately a decade ago, he and his best friend, Jirka, envisioned a chess server that would offer a unique experience. Recognizing chess's potential to connect individuals with disabilities, they aimed to create a platform fostering communication and competition among all players.

  • Jirka (jirja) Administrator

With a fondness for logic games and puzzles since his late teens, Jirka pursued a Master's degree in computer science, which left him with limited time for chess. When Jan proposed building a chess server ten years ago, Jirka embraced the idea wholeheartedly, leading to the inception of this project.

  • Ngoc Developer

Ngoc is a casual chess player and software engineer who finds greater enjoyment in developing chess programs than in playing the game itself.

Supporting the Community

We are committed to giving back to the community, particularly supporting individuals with special needs. The unobtrusive advertisements on our site not only fund ongoing development but also contribute to chess events for disabled players, promoting inclusivity within the chess community.
